Statement
Penny Fillingham lives and works in Nottinghamshire. She is a practising artist, photographer and a woodland manager.
Over the years she has developed a fascination with humanities relationship to the environment and the way in which we have the ability to sculpt and shape our landscape. Her interests lie within issues of ecology, mythology, science and globalisation. Her work is a thought provoking and often optimistic insight into possible future world in which mankind, by rekindling a love of nature, reforms the attachment and respect necessary in order for the planet to maintain a healthy biosphere.
Penny gained her First Class Honours Degree in Photography from Nottingham Trent University and has exhibited in both Nottingham and London.
